VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for spring 2022 season

We are excited for the upcoming season, and to open registration toward the end of November. But the reality is, the season is in danger if more people do not step up to help - in particular, we need parents of younger children to step into board positions, and more adults to become referees. Several of our board members have kids who have already aged out of AYSO, or who are in late high school and are about to do so. (And in the past few years, what's been happening is that existing board members have taken more and more responsibilities as our ranks thin -- this is unsustainable, unfair, and will lead to burnout.)

To have a region we are required to fill 7 core board positions. Out of those 7 positions we have 2 VACANT which means we are in a critical situation where the season will not happen unless they are filled. This is the core below, but many other NON-CORE positions are also open:
CORE:
Regional Commissioner
Coach Administrator
Registrar
Safety Director
Treasurer - VACANT
Referee Administrator - VACANT
CVPA- Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate
NON-CORE:
Assistant RC
Secretary
Game / Practice Scheduler - VACANT
Field Manager - VACANT
Equipment Manager
Sponsor Coordinator
Camp Director
Website manager
Picture Day coordinator - VACANT
Field Liaison - VACANT
Tournament Director

Here is a description of the vacant positions:

Treasurer: Handles the financial activity of the Region, and its paperwork, preparing budgets, and paying bills. So we’re looking for someone with a background in banking, accounting, finance, bookkeeping, etc.
Referee administrator: Implements the AYSO National Referee Program at the Region level, including implementing training and development, certification and more. Helps schedule referees for games. Contrary to what this might sound like – you do NOT have to know anything about soccer or refereeing to be effective in this role – it is largely an administrative position.
Game/practice scheduler: Uses the AYSO online system to create the master schedule for practices and games, taking into account schedule limitations of coaches and field availability, and works with other nearby regions to schedule out-of-region games for the older divisions. This is also an administrative role – no knowledge of soccer is required.
Field manager: Works to help ensure the field lines are painted and ready to go for practice and games. This is someone who has availability to coordinate volunteers and take care of this task – field lines typically need to be repainted every 2 weeks or so.
Field liaison: This is a new position we're trying to implement, and it may be filled by more than one person. This person or people is at the field anytime there is a game, to open the gates, act as a host, answer questions, and take care of/report any issues that might arise. (In the past, board members do this on the fly -- but we think it would be worthwhile to have people in this role.)
