Thank you JWF, and please keep kids from climbing the goals!
The Region 728 Board wishes to thank JWF Industries for their help in repairing broken goals! They've gone above and beyond in fixing broken welds on our goals this year, and we are so grateful.
The reason the goals break is that children think they look like fun to climb on, and use them as jungle gyms. The goals look really sturdy, and they are -- for their intended purpose! But the welds holding the goals together are not made to withstand the weight of even small children, and when welds break the goal becomes a safety hazard for both the climbing child and soccer players. (And, we have to once again call on JWF's generosity in restoring the goals to good repair.)
Please intervene if you see a child -- your own, or someone else's -- climbing one of our goals. Thank you!
