Become a referee with AYSO! A class is scheduled for April 24 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church at 1000 Scalp Avenue, starting at 8:00 am.

After registering as a new AYSO volunteer (youth or adult) in Sports Connect, you must activate your AYSO University account. AYSO University is the site where you’ll find your online training courses.

You can reach AYSO University from your Sports Connect account. Click on the home tab on the left-hand side of the screen. This will take you back to Region 728’s website. Click on the AYSOU tab. You should automatically log in, but if not click the Login button.

Once you’re registered as a volunteer, if you have not taken them for AYSO previously, there are two online courses you must complete first.

-Select My Courses
-Open and complete Safe Haven (takes about an hour)
-Open and complete CDC Concussion Training (takes about 45 minutes)
-Print your certificates after you’ve successfully completed these courses. You’ll need to bring them with you to class

Register for instructor led classroom training There is no cost for this course. Choose the Regional Referee session scheduled for Saturday, April 24th in Johnstown. IT IS AT 8:00 AM, NOT 9:00 AS LISTED.

-Select Referee Instructor Led Courses
-Select Regional Referee Course
-Select Sessions
-Scroll down the page to select a date and select Register.
-Bring your certificates to class.

Complete the AYSO’s Summary of the Laws of the Game
-Select My Courses
-Launch and complete AYSO’s Summary of the Laws of the Game
-Select My Courses
-Launch AYSO's Summary of the Laws of the Game Certificate

Print your certificate after you’ve successfully completed these courses You will need to bring them with you to class.

Submit Jersey Size
We provide you with your referee shirt, socks, and equipment so you will need to provide your shirt size (Youth M or L, Adult S, M, L, XL or XL) immediately. We need to have your shirt sizes by Wednesday, April 21.
